Boreal Nights 5

BOREAL NIGHTS 5 - Participants:

Christophe ALBERT
ECAM Lyon
21 years

Why I decided to join this project:
First and foremost, the Boreal Nights are an unique opportunity to share our interest in the nuclear energy with students and young professionals from another country and culture. I am looking forward to learning from Russian experts, but also discovering the vision of this country regarding nuclear energy. At last, such a trip is also the occasion to discuss about an engineer’s work in the nuclear field, outside of the formal environnement we can have when attending a lecture at school or at a career fair.

Why I decided to join this project:
This project, which I contribute to organise, allows meeting foreign people with different cultures and ways of life. I also wish to build a network with Russian young professionals and discover their working issues. The context is particularly attractive: communication and nuclear fuel cycle is very important to me, as I work in the framework of back end of the cycle.

Why I decided to join this project:
I decide to join this project to know Russian nuclear and their policy on this field. I think it's very interesting to visit russian's installations and exchange with them. I can know their culture and talk with them about nuclear and other topics. This trip will allow me to better understand the nuclear.

Pascal DERACHE

Why I decided to join this project:
This project is an opportunity to discover another culture of the nuclear energy. The international context of WENRA forces the Energy utilities to learn how the different countries handle with the authorities and to another extent with the civil society. As young professional, it will be interesting to compare the known organisation of Russian companies with the edf organisation. (e.g as well in safety domain as the global organisation) At least, developing the network within the nuclear energy is a big part of the interest for the project.

Why I decided to join this project:
Meet people
Develop connections with young Russian professionals
Better knowledge of the russian nuclear industry

Geoffrey HARATYK

Why I decided to join this project:
I intend to work for the nuclear industry, and I am always looking forward to any experience in this field. From this point of view the program of the Boreal Nights is very exciting with visits of major sites in the world, lectures of experts and, above all, contacts with professionals. Only good reasons to join.

Anne HUGUET

Why I decided to join this project:
An unique opportunity to visit Russian installations and to meet the Russian nuclear community

Laurence KHIN
AREVA NC - SGN

Why I decided to join this project:
I work every day in the safety of the fuel cycle, thus discover the installations of another country seemed to me extremely interesting. Besides, discover new persons and another culture, which share my interest for nuclear power appeared me as an opportunity I could not miss.

Pierre MINA

Why I decided to join this project:
I am really interested in participating to “Boreal Nights” because this event is an opportunity to improve our knowledge in nuclear energy, to learn from experienced professionals, to build relationships with young people from French and Russian companies. As a young professional, I am really interested in participating in discussions in which I will be able to bring my point of view. Thanks to “Boreal Nights”, we will discover main nuclear sites in Russia and France (Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant, Flamanville3) and one fascinating city: Saint Petersburg.

Remi SOUCHE

Why I decided to join this project:
I am interested in this project because I am sure I can learn a lot about how nuclear is seen and exploited in a foreign country. Moreover, it would give me the opportunity to learn another way to work with nuclear energy. I am also interested in learning new things about energy problems. Beside this, Boreal Nights is a good way to approach communication, especially with non-scientific people.
